I know, I know it's been awhile since I blogged. I have been inspired by my friend Kari's sister, Andrea. She has blogged almost everyday about her precious son Anderson. So, I thought I should get back into it again. It's just between facebook and you know.. life, who has time.

Since my last post, Halloween the Lamb family has been busy as usual. Drew and Zach just celebrated big birthdays. Drew turned 5, can you believe it? He is going to kindergarden this fall. Zach just celebrated his first birthday, where does the time go? They both had a grand time but mom and dad have to figure a better way. Too many days of parties and gifts!!!

Justin and I are of course still working. I am finishing up at school and will take several, several days off. I am looking forward to spending some quality time with the boy's and Justin.

We are leaving for Gulf Shores (yes, I know Oil..) in 6 days. The Suiter family (JB, Laura and Cole) and Dianne, Dave and Ben. More to come after our trip.

Pumpkin Patch 2009-Honeysuckle Farms

Today we went to the pumpkin patch in Springfield, TN. It was the 3rd trip with the Duff family. Hayden and Drew had a great time. We only had a few injuries along the way. Hayden fell off the slide and hurt her arm and Drew got bit by the donkey. I got a great shot of the donkey before he got bit you can see above. He seemed to be fine afterwards but it did scare him. We got lots of pics with the kids. Zach seemed to enjoy his first trip, slept some, ate some and just rode. I was able to prop him up and get good pics. Fun was had by all and we are now officially ready for Halloween.

Drew had his last soccer game. It was the coldest game of the season but Drew had a great game. Of course, the best part of the season is the big trophy. He was so proud and of course mom and dad were too.

The boys are getting so big. Drew is loving his new school and friends. He has two best buds, Justin and Carter. They just finished a field trip to the pumpkin patch and he even milked a cow. Drew is finishing soccer and really did well.

Zach is eating lots of different baby food. He is a big boy but actually weighs less than Drew did at this age. He is rolling over both ways and laughing outload.

Justin and I are busy with work and keeping up with the boys. We both are about to hit football playoffs and basketball season. Never a dull momement when you work with the schools and sports.

Zach is 4 months old and growing so fast. He is now eating baby food which he loves. I have never seen a baby get so excited about such bland food. He is rolling over from front to back. He smiles and laughs outloud. Zach really loves his big brother and smiles everytime he comes in the room. Zach has experienced his first sickness. He started with a small fever and cough. It did get worse and we ended up with a breathing treatment and steriods. He is finally better and smiling again.

We went to KY to celebrate granddaddy's 90th birthday party! All of us met at Patti's restaurant and ate dinner. Ben was sick but the rest of us still made it. Fun was had by all!

Drew started playing soccer this fall. We play every Saturday and practice one day a week. He loves it and the first game went well. We can tell a big difference from this year to last.

Zach is growing like a weed, just laughing and eating. He loves his big brother and really tries to keep up.

Drew's first day of School

Drew started Longview Elementary this week. He is in the early childhood program, it is similar to Pre-k. He will go 4 days a week for 3 1/2 hours each day. He will learn his letters, numbers, and how to write his name. His first day was on Friday and loved it. In fact he cried because he didn't want to leave. I can't believe he starts kindergarden next year!

Drew finished up T-ball and now we have signed up for soccer. He also starts pre-kindergarden on August 14th. Zach is doing well, he just went to the doctor last week and weighs 13.4 pounds and was 24 1/4 inches long. He grew 4 inches in one month.

Zach is 2 months old today. He is doing very well, he eats and sleeps a lot. Currently he is sleeping 6 or 7 hours a night. I can handle that! He is very similar to Drew when he was a baby, very sweet and loves to sleep. We go to the doc next week, I am anxious to see how much he weighs, look at those cheeks.

Mini Vacation

Since Zach was born in May we didn't feel like a beach trip would be good for any of us, so we went North. Our first stop was Nana and Pops house. We visited a major horse farm where they house Stallions who have won many races. After Nana and Pops we went to Ohio to visit all the great grandparents. The boy's did great in both places and below is a few pics from along the way.

Drew has been playing T-Ball this summer. Justin is the coach of the team and has 12 eager 3 and 4 year olds. It's really cute and commical at the same time. Here are few pics of the games we have had so far.

We are truly blessed with two beautiful boys. Both have been healthy and good sleepers. Justin and I are enjoying parenthood to the fullest. Thanks for everyone who has helped us and came to visit.

Zachary Alan has Arrived

On May 25th I told Justin we are going out and just walking and maybe Zach will show. We went to the mall and cosco and walked all day. I went to bed thinking I feel better than I had felt in days...

Fresh out of the oven...

At 2:45 a.m. I was woke up by a gush-my water broke. I woke Justin up who said, "I just went to bed." We packed a bag, called my dad who thankfully came out to watch drew so we didn't have to wake him up. So, by 3:45 a.m. we were pulling out of the driveway to the hospital. By 8:15 a.m. I was ready to push and it only took 3 pushes and Zachary came screaming out. He weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 20.5 inches long.

He was a little beat up but it went away fast. Zach was great and it was a fast delivery. We went from a family of 3 to a family of 4 in a couple of hours.

We celebrated Memorial Day on Saturday at my moms house. Both of my brothers and their children were in town. Drew loves playing with his Uncle Pat and Uncle Nick.

Drew learned from the older neighbor kid how to make a volcano with vinegar and baking soda. He and dad decided to do this in the sink, Drew thought it was the coolest thing. It takes very little to amaze him which is good.

I can't believe Drew is four. He has gotten so big and loves to ask questions. He really seems to be a sweet little boy and loves to be outside. Drew also loves playing with other kids especially the ones in our neighborhood, Luke and Mallory.

I am terrible, I know. I am starting from May to catch up on all of the happenings in the Lamb household. As most of you know Zachary Alan has arrived but I will get to that in a later post. Lots of pictures so enjoy...

May 19, Drew had his end of the year preschool program. As in previous years the pictures are not very good, I think its the lighting in church. He has now finished Pleasant Heights preschool and is moving on to Longview Elem in the fall. In the fall he will be a peer tutor in an early childhood program. The school is less than a mile from our house, I think he will love it.

Great Weekend

We have had a great weekend. Friday we spent the evening with the Morphy's. Drew had a great time playing with Caroline and Katherine. Saturday we went to the Franklin Street Festival with the Anton's. The kids had a great time playing the weather was beautiful.

Ultrasound on Friday for Zach:

The doc did one more ultrasound on Friday. Zach is fine. We couldn't get any good pictures because he is head down. He weighs about 5lbs and 9oz. His heartbeat was 141 bpm and moving like crazy. They sadi he looked great! I see the actual doctor on Tuesday, I will update more then. We are anxious about his arrival.

Baby Update and Drew school update

On Monday we had to make a trip to the hospital. I had been having contractions on Sunday night and all day Monday. I called the doc on Monday night and she suggested I come in and be monitored. The baby was fine and I was having contractions just not huge ones. They kept us for about two hours and sent us home. On Tuesday at my regular appointment she said I am just starting the process but not diliated yet. She suggested an ultrasound on Friday, April 24th to make sure Zach is fine. I also see her on April 28th and she will starting checking me very two weeks. She wants me to stay off my feet as much as possible. This week my mom and Justin have helped out a lot a ton. After work mom has helped with dinner and Drew. Justin is helping me with house stuff. I have felt better as the week went on, so hopefully he will stay in there for a little while longer. Thanks to everyone who has helped and called to check on us. We are now trying to finish the babies room.

Drew has been attending Pleasant Heights Baptist church pre-school for the last three years. He has loved it but we wanted to get him into the Early Childhood at the elementary school he will attend. He got in this year. He starts August 13th 4 days a week. He will be a "peer model" for other students who have disabilities and learn lots of academic material. We are real excited and he is too.

Spring Break Part II

Spring Break

I know I know, where have we been. The Lamb family has been busy and sleepy. Okay, just I've been sleepy. The snow was a nice surprise but didn't get me out of school which was sad. It happened on a Sunday and we had to skip church because we were outside at 7:40 a.m. Drew loved it and so did the dogs.

Last weekend Justin and I traveled to Memphis for Shanda and Dave's wedding. It was very nice and we had a good time with Jenn and Jason. Drew stayed one night with Granny and Pa Pa and then the next night with Uncle Pat and Aunt Christy.

Drew has been working on no pull-ups at night. It's going okay. We have had a couple of accidents but getting better. Poor kid, I won't let him have any fluids after 6:00 p.m.

Zach seems to be fine, he kicks me constantly. I go back to the ob on Tuesday for a check-up. Time seems to be flying. We are slowly getting everything ready. My mom helped me wash all of the baby clothes and I've got the car seat ready.

Justin has been so busy with basketball but now it's on to spring sports.

Baby and Drew update

I am not doing a great job keeping up with this blog. I haven't even taken pictures since Christmas, how horrible am I.

We went to the doctor on Monday, Jan 26th for another ultrasound. The first ultrasound was too early to be able to see all parts of the heart and so we had another on Monday. Zach is doing great, growing as he should. They did say that his due date would be June 3rd or he is going to be a really tall baby. They measure the length of the femur to determine the date, crazy huh?

Drew is doing well, not listening as most three old kids. He is really adjusting to the idea of Zach. He has helped pick out his bedding and clean out the room. I am sure he will feel differently once Zach arrives but it's nice for now. Drew is still loving school. His class this year has a lot of boys in it, they seem to be very loud and wild. He has his Valentine day party on Feb 12th and he can't wait.

Justin and I have been working on the house lately. We are going to paint Zach's room and the play room. Drew got new furniture and bedding also. Justin completely cleaned out the office so Zach can now have his own room.

As you can see, we have been busy and I am sure the spring will be no different. I promise to add pictures soon.

IT'S A BOY

We found out on Wed that we are having a boy. His name is Zachary Alan. We are all very excited! Here are some pictures of the little guy.

We are due June 9th. All is well with Zach and I go back in two weeks. When they did the ultrasound they couldn't see the heart all the way because it was only 18 weeks. So, they are doing another one in two weeks. I'll post more later.

Christmas is Over..
Now that Christmas has come to an end we spent all day today cleaning up and cleaning out. The trash men were not happy with us as they drug away 14 bags of trash and we have four bags going to Good Will. We even tackled Drew's play room to set up all the new stuff. Our next project is the baby room and painting the "kids" play room.

Baby Update:
Our ultrasound is Jan 7th to find out the sex of the baby. Justin says he doesn't care but I think he secretly wants a girl so he can buy her a pink cowboy's jersey. I am of course hoping for a girl but I will be happy with a boy since I know how to take care of one already. I am feeling much better now, the nausea comes and goes but not near as bad as before. I am still wearing my regular clothes but I think it won't be long before I have drag out the maternity clothes. I am carrying this one much different, with Drew my hips started expanding first but with this one my belly is expanding first. Who knows...

Uncle Sam-My dad every year hand carves a special guy for Christy, Kelsey and myself. He is very talented and it means so much to each of us. We all get a different one each year and I have mine on display in my kitchen.

The "brunch" with the Hensley clan was no different, loud but fun. As our family grows I think mom and dad need a bigger house. The kids really enjoyed opening and dad even played in a tent with Drew. Fun was had by all.

Christmas Eve the Lamb family came over to celebrate Christmas. We had lots of good food and Drew enjoyed every minute of it. This year was the first we have all been together since Courtney and Greg got married, it was a blessing.

Our first Christmas was with Papa Dave, Dee Dee and Uncle Ben. They all came in last week and stay with us for a few days. Drew had a blast but I think they all were exhausted when they left. We play lots of cards, risk and ate a lot. Drew really enjoyed seeing them again.

Update-Thanksgiving

Justin and I took a little trip the weekend before Thanksgiving to Gatlinburg. We did some shopping and sleeping. It was our first trip alone in about 5 years.

Thanksgiving was delicious as always. We ate at my moms and Justin had to work after we ate. As you can see from the pictures below Uncle Pat and Drew had fun racing.

Emily had a great time playing on the John Deer tractor as well. She is almost tall enough to reach the gas.

Drew is driving Emily around in the cart. Good thing Granny and Uncle Pat are holding on because Emily fell right out of the back-didn't phase her a bit.

Drew had a Thanksgiving program at school. They sang three songs and ate pizza. He practiced and practiced those songs, you should ask him next time you see him.

Christmas Update:

We are getting ready for Christmas and Santa Clause. All of our decorations are up and still shopping of course. I am almost finished but haven't started wrapping yet. Drew is so excited he can't stand it. Being good for Santa is such a great tool, I am not sure what we'll do after the holidays. Next week I go to Portland, Oregon for work. I will only be gone Wed-Sat but it's long enough. When I return we have lots of wrapping and baking to do.

Baby Update:

As most of you know I have still been very sick. The past week has brought on vomiting which was a surprise and not a good one might I add. This pregnancy is very different than with Drew, so maybe that means a girl. I see my ob on Monday and hope she will give me something different for the sickness so I can function. It's been rough here at the Lamb House.

Introducing Lamb Baby #2. Today was our first doctor's visit. Everything is going very well. The doctor couldn't hear the heartbeat with the regular doppler but it seems to be the case with both of our kids. So, here is our ultrasound picture. The heartbeat was 176 and she/he even has arms, legs and ears. She gave me some new medicine for the "morning sickness" but today I feel pretty good. We will see Dr. Davis on Dec 8th again.

We took Drew to the zoo over fall break. He loved it and we did too. I think it is a place we will visit again, the jungle jim was a huge hit. I thought we were going to loose him in there, Daddy had to go in several times to find him.

Big News!!

We are having another baby! The due date for this little lamb is June 9th. We are almost 9 weeks. This pregnancy has already been different than the last one. I have been very sick. I see the nurse tomorrow for the first time and I hope she can give me something. I have spent most weekends in bed feeling so bad. Our families are very excited and Drew says he wants a little sister. If I don't post for awhile this is why, when Drew goes to bed I do to.

We had an extremely busy weekend. Saturday we started with soccer and I must say we are getting better each week. This week he got to play on the same team as his buddy Lex..

Pops and Nana Visit

Pops and Nana came to visit this weekend to watch Drew play soccer. He really enjoyed the audience and waived as he jogged past everyone. They also brought him a t-shirt and sweatshirt with UK on it. I know not what I wanted him to wear but he seems to love KY football right now. Maybe I can convince him that Tennessee basketball is cool.

Pumpkin Patch

Today Drew and I took a field trip with his preschool class to Limoland Pumpkin Patch. As you can tell from the pictures he had a great time. His favorite part was the wagons you can drag around to pick up your pumpkins. We also rode a hay ride and he was able to play with his two buddies Issac and Lex.

Just an update on the last day of summer:

We have been busy with school, soccer and football every week. Drew is really enjoying going to football games with mom on Friday nights. He always seems to find a friend to play with or should I say wrestle with. My diaper bag has gone to a small backpack with nothing but a pair of underwear(just in case) and three small footballs.

Soccer is still going on every Saturday and I must say it's still very comical. One of his good buddies from school "Lex" is on his team. They seem to have more fun chasing each other than actually chasing the soccer ball. During this week's game he scored but scored in the wrong goal. Hey, what can you expect?

Justin and I are very busy at work as usual. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving break for some time off.

Saturday marked the first weekend of soccer. Drew loved it. It took over three hours after we got home to get him to take off his uniform. The entire group of "Tiny Toes" looked like small ants running in packs toward a white ball. If anyone is in need of some comic relief we play every Saturday from now till Oct 25 at 9:45.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a very busy weekend for Labor Day.
Friday Night: Drew spent the night with Granny and Pa because mom and dad both had football games. I belive Granny made his favorite breakfast: pancakes.

Saturday night: Justin and I had to attend a wedding for two teachers I work with. Justin had worked all day and Drew and I cleaned and went to the grocery store.

Sunday: We went to church with Nana, Pops, Cameron and Laura and then out to lunch. After church they came over to watch the Kentucky game, which they won. GO Cats. Sunday afternoon I took Drew to Jaxson's birthday party. Sunday night, we all (Cameron, Laura, Nana, Pops, Courtney, Greg) ate dinner together and of course played a little guitar hero. Drew loved all the attention.

Monday: Drew and I made muffins for Nana and Pops. Drew, Justin and I went to visit Mary Duff as she is home from the hospital. The final activity was buying all of Drew's soccer gear. He may have no idea what to do next Saturday but he will look good doing what ever it is he will be doing.

Murphy's Haircut

We decided to have Murphy shaved in order to cut down on the dog hair. He looks so cute and did fantastic for his first time being shaved.

Tonight we met Grandmother and Audra for dinner. We had a great time.

The Murph update:
We have now left him for hours and hours and does great. In fact I think he likes the time alone. I can't explain what a relief it is knowing he is so calm when we leave and is excited when we get back. Who knew...

All is well this week at the Lamb house, Football is in full swing and Justin and I are like two ships passing in the night. We are already looking forward to next summer.

Two is harder than One

Justin, Drew and I kept Emily over night Saturday night. As most of you know Justin and I would love to have another one and Saturday gave us a good indication what it would be like. We picked her up and took her to the mall, the hospital (to visit Mary) and Cosco. She was great, just kepted up with the best of us. I have to say it is much different than one.

As you can see from the picture she loves patty cake. She crawls a bit and then stops to clap; its so cute.

Drew is in full swing of school and loving it. We have been a little trouble from our teacher twice, hopefully we are learning that is not acceptable at the Lamb house. My school is up and running; I can't believe summer is over.

We just kind of hung out this weekend, tried to relax as the craziness begins tomorrow. We also had a surprise this weekend as Jenn and Jason had their second baby, Mary. She came very unexpectedly today. She weighed 3 pounds and 15 ounces, very cute. Jenn and her a doing well, Mary will probably be in the hospital for a while as she was about 2 months early.

Not much else new, Justin is starting his busy time too. Football begins this Friday, yeah!!

First Day of School

Today Drew started Preschool for the 2008-2009 school year. He is attending Pleasant Heights Baptist Church Preschool for the third year. This year his teacher is Ms. Sandra (same as last year), who is Aunt Christy's sister. He loves her and was truly excited today when he saw three old friends in his class. According to Ms. Sandra they had a great day and he also was able to potty with her, which I call a victory.

Summer Updates

I know it's been a while, we have extremely busy.
Updates:

July 17-July 21: The enti paw he already knows. I was very exciting to see my grandparents so excited to have all of thier kids, grand kids and great-grand kids all in one place. We were all truely blessre Hensley family traveled to Hamilton, Ohio to suprise my grandpa for his 80th birthday. I wished I would have taken a picture of his face when all of the TN clan just kept coming in the door, he was so surprised. 12 people stayed at thier house for the entire weekend, which was a lot of fun. Grandma was very impressive for keeping it a secret for so long. On Saturday of the weekend my mom and aunt cindy through a huge party at the park for him with tons of family and friends. Drew had such a good time, he kept calling my grandpa "the other guy". He truely didn't undersand "great" pa pa, he doesn't want anything to confuse theed.

July 18th-Justin, Amy, Nick, Pat, Christy, me and all the kids traveled to the Cinn. Zoo. It was a lot of fun watching Drew yell "Marty-from Madagascar". We rode a train and it was the highlight of the day for Drew.

School Update-I have already been back to school for about 3 weeks getting things ready for the kids, who come back August 11th. I think Drew and Justin are glad to be back in a routine, they say I screw it up when I am home. Drew starts school on Tuesday, August 5th. He is returning to Pleasant Heights Baptist Church but for 3 days a week this year. Drew was also lucky enough to get the same teacher as last year, who he really enjoyed, Ms. Sandra. He is very excited about starting school especially since he has a new scooby new lunch box.

Drew's new words: I just wanted to give a an update a few new phrases that Drew has started saying, and I blame others for these. Lately, it's been "Dad, your killing me"-Justin. "Oh my gosh"-My father. "Why"-Sometimes I wonder how many questions he can ask in a 5 minute period.

Fall Soccer: We signed Drew up for fall soccer. He starts on September 6th, every Saturday. Since it's a 3 year old league he will practice 30 minutes before each game. He is very excited about playing but mostly about what gear he gets to wear. (Like his mother) If you want some real laughs please join us this fall for soccer.

Pool time: We still have been swimming like crazy. Drew has really enjoyed the pool again this summer. I am sure I should put him in swimming lessons but I hate to break his no fear. Maybe next year. The rec center has been a great edition to our neighborhood, they even put in a slide for the shallow end that Drew loves.

Okay, I think I have caught you up on everything and I will add some pics tonight. We have been really busy but had a great summer. I am sad that it is already time for school. Drew was really fun this summer and truely enjoys hanging with mom and dad. I wonder when that ends.

Funny at Granny's House

Yesterday we spent the day at Granny and Pa Pa's house. I picked up Emmy and then took her to Granny's to spend the night. Drew and Justin swam and we all ate a yummy dinner. Drew spent the night at Granny's house on Friday and had a great time as usual.

Today is my last day off for the summer. I start back to work tomorrow, yuck. I have to work for the next three weeks before the teachers come back. Our students come back on August 11.

Update on Murphy: He is doing great. On Friday, he stayed in the house all by himself for 7 hours and didn't tear anything up. I am so excited, I wished he had told us this 6 years ago. It would have saved him a lot of pain and us a lot of money. Keep praying ...

Birthday Dinner

Last night I went out and celebrated my birthday with several of my good friends. Justin, Jennifer and Joey Anton; Jennifer and Jason Duff, Kari, Warren and Christy Thrasher all went to Ted's Montana Grill and then out to The Stage. I had a great time and so wish I had taken a picture of everyone for the blog. It's nice to know you have great friends. I will turn 31 on Sunday and feel older by the day.

As you noticed I changed the blog a little and added the new header. It's a great and easy thing. Luckily Kari's cousin's friend Amanda sent me directions. Thanks Amanda. I am getting the hang of this blogging thing..

Murphy-Good Dog

As most of you know we have had a lot of trouble with our dog Murphy. Ever since we rescued him he has tried to escape either out of crates, fences, etc. Murphy has been on medication twice and trained by some "dog whisper" for two weeks solid. The last move we made was the expensive training and one more crate. He has done ok since last August but things went down hill lately.

We left Murphy with my brother and sister-in-law while we were on vacation. You would think he would love it there, since he gets lots of attention and has a running mate in Daffney. He tried to escape twice out of his cage and was successful once. My fear was that he would try and get out and get hung and I would find him dead one day. The last escape was on the fourth of July. We put him in his cage and left for our friends house. Justin came back a few hours later to let him out for a few minutes and found a pool of blood in front of the cage with a beat up Murphy.

We didn't know what to do, Justin suggested we leave him in the house. I of course thought he was crazy. I made him promise if Murphy ate anything (couches, clothes, comforters, shoes,etc) he would immediately go out and purchase a new one while I looked for a new home for Murphy. He agreed. Courtney (Justin's sister-who is a dog trainer) suggested starting slowly and build time. So far... He has done great. Today we are up to a little over 3 hours. He doesn't seem to even know we are gone.

Murphy is our first baby and he is so good with others, especially kids. Please pray this works and he can just stay inside while we are gone..

Fourth of July 2008

The Lamb Family had a great Fourth of July. We spent the day with Jennifer, Joey, Jaxson and Jacob Anton. The Anton's moved here last year from Georgia and Jennifer teaches Math at Fairview. First we all went to the pool and played in hopes the kids would tire out and sleep. Guess what, didn't happen!! We then grilled out hamburgers, hotdogs, cooked corn on the cob and had several yummy dips. The kids played on water slides while the adults snacked and grilled the food. We then took the kids to downtown Franklin to walk around and eat ice cream. Apparently, every year they have "downtown on the Fourth" but its the first time I had been. We finished the night with fireworks in Franklin. In true fashion Drew fell asleep during the fireworks show. It is the third straight year he has fallen asleep, don't know how he does it.

Gulf Shores 2008

Friday, June 27th: The Duff and Lamb family left for Gulf Shores. We stopped and spent the night in Prattville, AL. The kids did real well in the car and loved Bass Pro Shop.

Saturday, June 28: The kids ate breakfast and played in the hotel while the adults got ready. We started out to Gulf Shores. We stopped twice, once being the fruit market right before Gulf Shores. It was a packed place but it was a good bathroom stop. We arrived in Gulf Shores around lunch time and hit the McDonalds. The condo let us check in several hours early. We even were able to hit the beach that afternoon. The first dinner spot was the "Hang out".

Sunday, June 29: The kids were really tired and slept in but were very excited to go to the beach again. We took them to the beach and then ended up at the pool. Our condo had a baby pool with a waterfall. As you can imagine we made many visits to the pool bathroom. In case you haven't figured out both children are potty training but happy to report: No accidents... Today's dinner was at the "Orginal Oyster House".

Monday, June 30: Today was more of the same, the beach and pool. The exciting thing for today was the tornado warning on the beach. Justin and Jason spent a lot of the afternoon going from the front to the back of the condo watching the storm roll in. The police even cleared the beach, which was a little strange. Since the storm came in we went to the outlet mall and then to Lulu's. She is Jimmy Buffett's sister and has a huge sandbox for the kids to play in while you wait, which is great since we have never waited less than two hours to eat. Drew and Hayden ran around and messed up other children's sand castles. Justin had a heart to heart with them and then a family hugged. (Didn't seem to work)

Tuesday, July 1: Can you believe it's July already? Anyway... Today was our best weather day. No clouds in the sky, very hot. We spent most of the day at the pool and went in for lunch and naps. Jenn and I spent an hour or so out by the pool which was nice. We decided to eat pizza in the condo this night and then go ride go carts. I have say both kids loved the go carts and wanted to ride them again. Of course, we went to get ice cream at TCBY.

Wednesday, July 2: We were leaving the beach and heading home. We drove the whole way and made good time. We stop every two hours pretty much and once to eat. The kids were really good in the car and at the beach. The entire group had a great time and cant' wait till next year. We did decide that maybe next year we should take "Grannys". Ha, Ha.

First Day of the Trip

We made it to Prattville, AL last night about dinner time. The kids did really well in the car and even slept some of the time. We only stopped 2 times and once was for Justin to use the restroom. We tried to explain to him if he wouldn't drink 44 ounces of fluid he wouldn't have to go to the potty. We will post more laster and some pictures.

We have been very busy preparing for our trip. I did take Drew to the doctor yesterday and he did have swimmers ear. The doctor gave him some drops and said to keep him out of the water until Saturday. He is in some pain but hopefully tomorrow he will start to feel better.

Today I took Peppy to grandmother in Fairview and Justin took Murphy to Aunt Christy in Nashville. They each have great places to stay while we are gone. I have been finishing up with laundry and packing. Of course, I am still not finished and won't be until we leave tomorrow.

I am taking the computer and will hopefully update while we are there. See you from the beach...

3 days till Gulf Shores

We are only 3 short days till we leave for the beach. Drew is so excited to be able to build sand castles. Yesterday we bought several beach toys in the $1.00 bin at Target.

Today we went to Granny's pool and Drew was really swimming. He jumped seveal times in the deep end to me an than swam to the ladder. I am just amazed how he has no fear. I think I really need to put him in swim lessons this summer.

Drew went to bed saying his ear hurt, pray for us its just water stuck in it.

Happy Anniversary

Today Justin and I have been married for seven years. We decided to spend the day together as a family. It is also my first day off this summer and I will be off for the next three weeks. We went to the pool this morning, the park this afternoon and cooked ribs for supper.

We have had a great seven years and hope for many more...

On a sad note,

Our good friends JB and Laura's dog (Rosco) died today. He was a huge dog but the sweetest you would ever meet. I have also posted a pic of Drew and him together. He was always so good to him. We will miss him dearly every time we go visit them.

Today we celebrated a late Father's day at Granny and Pa Pa's house. We ate hamburgers and hotdogs and swam. Emily and Drew had a good time in the water. Even Nick and Kelsey were able to join us.

Hello Blogging World!!

I have decided to try this blogging thing.. Several of my friends have started a site and I thought why not.

Yesterday Drew and I went to Hayden's birthday party. Drew and Hayden had a good time riding the toy jeep. I thought to myself this might be what it will be like when they leave on their first date. We also talked about our trip to the beach and what funny things might occur this time. The last time we went with the Duff family Hayden puked all over the car. I know this trip we will try to hit all bathrooms between here and Mobile.

I will post more later after we go to Granny and Pa Pa's house to celebrate Father's Day.
